Hiking the Tongariro Crossing

One part of my trip to New Zealand in 2019 was a hike along the trail with a famous mountain on it…"Mt. Doom” from the Lord of the Rings. The trail that runs right by where those scenes were created is called the Tongariro Crossing, and is within the Tongariro National Park. Of all the things we did on this trip, this was one I HIGHLY recommend.
